Creative Futures update : Nick Atkins
January 7, 2019
Since working on Creative Futures 2017 Nick has been writing and directing new work across Western Sydney for Q Theatre and independently. Recently he wrapped up directing Yellow Yellow Sometimes Blue by Noelle Janaczewska and is looking forward to working on an adaptation of The Ugliest Duckling in July
Nick is in Iceland at the moment to kick off a residency as part of a Create NSW Fellowship where he will be continuing to draft a play NTofP has supported him to start.
Nick says “What I valued about the CF program is the opportunity to observe process without being responsible. It’s rare to get the chance to watch, listen and learn from a production process without feeling the heat of delivery square on your shoulders. I think these opportunities are critical to learning”.
