Riverside’s National Theatre of Parramatta is thrilled to partner with our friends at Force Majeure to offer the INCITE Intro Workshop as part of the Heartland Festival lineup.
This opportunity is perfect for artists looking to switch up or hone their skills working with movement in their practice, and spark a starting point for new works through working with the body.
Facilitated by Lia Reutens (Force Majeure Art Force Artist), the three-hour workshop is an exciting introductory class to Force Majeure’s methodology of Physical Practice and Movement Generation.
You’ll learn simple and effective exercises to demonstrate:
- How to work with the breath and the moving body,
- Structured improvisation tasks,
- Generating movement with text,
- And the dramaturgy of movement storytelling.
